I was feeling guilty about their missing out on Halloween and mentioned how next year they would likely go trick-or-treating and Isaac said, "but I want to go to Tepanyaki." Phew. I'm so glad they enjoyed it. It was a nice night out as a family.

Halloween
This year we tried a new Halloween activity. Instead of going trick-or-treating we went out to dinner and watched a movie. This is a bit of a change from other years!
Our three oldest boys decided at the end of February last year to cut back on sugar. This was their own decision, though we definately support them. All of our kids love Tepanyaki. We ate their once when we celebrated Cayden being asked to particpate in the state geography bee. We decided that the money we'd save from buying costumes and candy for nearly 400 trick-or-treaters would allow us to go. All of the boys liked the idea, including Adam and Isaac. After dinner we went to Brad's parents to watch a movie. I did have to buy Adam and Isaac each a giant candy bar, but it was worth it!

I had told my kids what you were doing hoping that they may want to do the same, they didn't. When we were trick or treating by you house they said "I know they are in there watching a movie."
WHat a gret idea. If I buy the candy bars can I come next time?
