Service Project

Alex and Drew did their "Citizenship in the Community' merit badge class this past fall. They had to do an eight hour service project as part of it. They choose to make 2 blankets each to donate to Primary Children's Medical Center.
Part of their service was choosing the fabric, cutting it out, sewing it together and putting a decorative edge on it. (They did have some help from their Mom!)
Alex knew just what to do since he is taking sewing lessons. He had already made a blanket to give to his 4th grade teacher who had a baby. This is part of the reason that we choose this particular project.

Drew loved the train blanket he did so much that he wanted to keep it.

The decorative stitch that Drew did looked like a small track going around the edge of the blanket.

Once they finished the blankets we drove down to Primary Chilren's in Salt Lake where they donated them for sick children.
Yeah! I was very proud of them and their hard work.

That is really great. I'll bet they felt so good about their service.
